We Made It!!!

We made it!!! We're in Tallahassee in our new home! Let me tell you, my mom has been an absolute hero coming and helping with all this. Yesterday we loaded up and Mom drove us to Salt Lake. We got to ride with Charlotte and Ruby and have a lovely brunch at Desi's house, so we had great company. I slept a ton and used Mom's neck pillow. Mom had all the mental load and had figured out parking and our tickets and everything to fly to Tallahassee. She bought us lots of food and carried our stuff around and made everything so easy so I could just focus on Parley. He was a champion. Both flights, he slept pretty much the whole time. He was also so good and patient in the airport and only cried a bit. And we were at the airport for a long time. Our second flight was delayed for about four hours. But we finally got here at about 3am, and Parley fell asleep at about 4am. Today I woke up really tired and overwhelmed. Everything was a mess and needed to be unpacked. Mom got groceries ...

Grandparents Appreciation Post

I love my parents so much. They do so much for me all the time, and I'm so grateful. But it just feels even more wonderful and special when they do things for Parley. He is so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents.  This is what today looked like for him. He slept in until a little after 9. Then he had grandma time while I went running and took a bath. They had outdoor baby on the front lawn and played with his favorite toy. He also hung out with his grandpa during breakfast. He always tells Parley how much he is going to love food when he can eat it.  Then Parley took a very long nap while his grandparents worked like crazy. Then he got some grandpa time. He mostly practiced jumping and had pigs in space. I don't remember if he got a tour of the yard or not today, but his grandpa loves to give him those.  Then we all went to Boulder. Parley slept the whole time! It was just lovely though. Someday he'll love splashing around with his grandparents. Charlotte and Ruby ...

Thankfulness

Nikki and Dad made it to Tallahassee!! They got to our townhouse at 9:45pm, and seven people from the ward came to help them move our stuff in. They said everyone was so kind, and they brought us cookies. Our house is in a really nice neighborhood and seems great. It's so much bigger than our old apartment. I was talking to Nikki as he was searching through our stuff looking for some missing pieces to put our bed together. He's leaving for Denmark on Wednesday, and he wants to get everything unpacked before then. I wish so much that I was there! I want to see it all and meet our ward and help get set up.  In Doctrine and Covenants 78:19 it says, "He who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious." It is glorious to receive all things with thankfulness. Not just the things we love. And there are so, so many things to be thankful for with the plan we have, even if I don't get to be in Tallahassee right now.  I'm thankful Nikki and Dad made it ...
