Perfect Baby and Eternal Families

Ever since Parley was born, going to church has made me really nervous. I want to make sure he is okay and not let his crying disrupt things, and I'm usually so sleepy. I get really stressed. Last night I prayed big about it again and spiritually created our day. It was amazing. Parley was absolutely perfect!

First, last night he slept six hours and 45 minutes, had a snack, then slept four more hours and woke up for church. He was happy and did great then fell asleep in my arms in the middle of sacrament meeting. He stayed asleep until the end of church. It was extra impressive because I was doing a lot in second hour, and he slept through it all. I was the only counselor there for most of primary, we had a singing time sub who didn't know any of the songs or really the kids but is just a sweet lady, and no pianist. I ended up playing the piano with one hand while holding Parley and having someone scroll through the sheet music on my phone as I went. It was crazy, and Parley was an absolute champ!

It was our last Sunday in our ward. I'm going to miss everyone so much!! Sybelle and the Hawkins found us and said goodbye. Kira had the whole primary say goodbye to me, and she gave me a present. I got a picture with Emily and her sweet little boy, and Rajane started crying when we said goodbye. They all made me feel so loved! I'm blessed to know such wonderful people. 

Parley has been a champion in general this weekend. Lili and Josh got married on Friday. It was so, so special. Eternal families are the best thing that ever happened, and they are starting one. They were just radiant, and so many people are so happy for them. I wish I had a picture of Josh dipping Lili when they came out of the temple. It was my favorite part! Parley was quite the popular fellow at the reception. 






Nikki and Parley hung out while I was in the sealing. Those two love each other so much, and it's my favorite thing!
Then yesterday we hung out with Clarissa and went to sushi with my parents. I haven't had sushi since I got pregnant, and it was the most wonderful thing! I have the nicest parents. And I love, love seeing them with Parley. They are special friends. I love picturing them with little Clarissa when she was Parley's age. I'm sad I didn't get a picture when Dad was holding him cause they're so dear, but here's what I got. 



I feel so blessed to have such a perfect baby and a wonderful eternal family. I'm getting stressed about all we have to do before moving on Friday, but I made a list, which helped. We're going to be just fine. At least I have my perfect baby and husband.

 I love Nikki and Parley more than anything. More than sleep. Or food. Or feeling normal and healthy. Or going to the temple or the chiropractor. Or running. Or teaching. My life has changed a lot since getting pregnant and even more since Parley was born. But it's been so wonderful because there is nothing I'd rather be doing than taking care of our boy with Nikki.  We had big news today. Nikki got an acceptance letter to Florida State University. That's so huge! And I'm really, really excited for a lot of reasons. But I'm also scared. I'd gotten used to the idea of staying in Provo for another year, in our same ward, close to our family and friends and chiropractor, bank, pediatrician, and everything else we know. It felt really comfortable.  But of course Florida is the exact step we want to take for our life dreams. And it will be a grand adventure. My Projects

Happy Dahl family reunion and happy birthday to Lina! I'm thinking of you all today. We've had such a wonderful Sunday. Our ward is so nice, and Jesus Christ and His gospel are amazing. Nikki spoke in church! I love listening to him talk. He prepped for a 10 minute talk and then got to speak for 25 minutes, but he had a lot of poise and did great.  I've been busy with a lot of projects. I like working on them a lot. The biggest one is that the book Dad and I wrote, Autism in Christ's Church , is officially published and available to the public!! I spent a lot of hours on it and am really excited to be in this stage. I messaged all the people I interviewed for the book to get their address so we can send them a copy. I've also been contacting lots of podcasts to ask if Dad and I can talk about the book with them. So far we have two interviews scheduled!! They're with Latter-day Light and Leading Saints. 1 hour feeding

 63:53. Parley ate for 63 minutes and 53 seconds in a single feeding! He got into his pajamas and had his diaper changed THREE times with the timer paused, but besides that the eating was non stop. Since this feeding started at 9:18 pm and went until almost 11 pm, it cut into my sleep time and was a bit discouraging. Parley reached one month old last Friday. He is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me, but I have also been dead tired for a month. I started the feeding quite grumpy because I had a headache and wanted to be sleeping. But by the end of it, I'm just grateful. Parley was born 3 weeks early and acted earlier than that. He had to stay in the hospital three extra days because he wasn't eating well, and I met with more lactation specialists than anyone ever has.
