Fit Mom!

We went on a family trip to FSU today! Nikki starts class next week, and we wanted to scout it out and see where all his classes will be. Recently, Parley has decided that he hates riding in the car. He had just woken up from his nap and eaten, which is normally his happiest time. It didn't matter. He screamed the whole drive. But once he was there, he was quite the charmer. Random people talk to you if you're holding a baby, and we made some friends. Everyone is so excited for Nikki to start! We're excited for him, too. He's going to be exceptional, I know it. Parley was very patient with the whole thing, but by the end, after all the screaming and chatting and walking around in the hot world, he got tuckered out. And he loves being carried by his dad. He fell dead asleep in Nikki's arms and stayed asleep the whole ride home. (His cute hat is from Thelma.)

I cooked chicken and quinoa for dinner which tasted better than last time I cooked quinoa! Parley and I had a fun bath, but then he got so tired again. He fell asleep, but when I tried to put him in his crib, he woke up really mad and not wanting to sleep anymore. I walked around, trying to get him to calm down. We went downstairs to check on Nikki, and Parley calmed down while we were walking down but got mad again once we were there. When I walked back up the stairs, it was the same thing. I thing he wants his mom to be a bit more fit. So I walked up and down the stairs until he fell asleep. Aw, I love this boy so much. I'd do anything for him!
(Late dinner in Parley's room Nikki brought up when it took forever to get Parley to sleep.)
