Sleeping Baby!

Parley is remarkable, and I had to share. Thursday night, he slept 9 hours and 47 minutes in a row! I got 9 hours of sleep without even trying. Friday, all of his naps were in his crib. I'm so proud of him. This was especially amazing because earlier this week, he had a two night faze where he woke up every two hours and wouldn't sleep in his crib at all during the day. I had a sleep training crisis and got so worried, and then he started sleeping better than ever without me even doing anything. He keeps us on our toes!

Parley was so happy and smiley all day Friday. We had so much fun.

(Escape Baby!)

Nikki had the idea to have a family date that evening. We went to the park, ate cheeze-its and baby oranges, and did outdoor baby. Parley has missed outdoor baby! We need to do it more often. A five-year-old girl and her mom were at the park, too, and we made friends. People are so nice. Especially when you have a baby. :) We tried out the swing, slide, and twirly things, but Parley didn't seem to care about them one bit and was getting hot. So we went home. On our way out, we visited a little birdhouse, free library. There was a Charlie Brown football book there that we had to get. We have two copies of Mr. Brown Can Moo that we'll trade for. Now we'll have to go back for another family date!

Parley only woke up once in the night. Friday night, but I missed him too much. I kept waking up, thinking he was awake. I even went into his room two different times to find him still asleep. He had a fussy Saturday. I think he might be teething, but I'm not sure. I've never had a teething baby before. But his naps were really short and sensitive, he drooled so much, hardly smiled, touched his face so much, and sucked on things like crazy. I was having an off day, too, and we were so grateful for Nikki. He cooked lunch and was fun and wonderful to his grumpy family. We are both so lucky to have him.

We watched some football and were proud of BYU and FSU once again being triumphant!

Now I'm up with Parley for what seems like his one wakeup of the night. And I'm so glad. I still get enough sleep, and I'm not ready to be done with these special times. He's so precious and snuggly and holds my hand while he sucks. I love him so much!
